Abstract
According to Bertrand Russell- 'Science'
- "The facts of science, as they appeared to him [Heraclitus], fed the flame in his soul, and in its light, he saw into the depths of the world."
According to Francis Bacon -'The depths of the world'
- "The sciences that sway the imagination rather than the reason are principally three viz. These are: astrology, natural magic, and alchemy (…). Alchemy, may be compared to the man who told his sons/daughters that he had left them gold, buried somewhere in his vineyard/house; while they by digging the vineyard found no gold,
- But by turning up the mould about the roots of the vines procured a plenty vintage. For this reason the search and endeavours to make gold, have brought many useful inventions to light."
